Our partners in at SE Agriseed in Georgia sent us this video of a herd of beef cattle picking their way through a pasture mix to munch on the leaves of our Winfred forage brassica!

Winfred forage brassica is a cross between a turnip and a kale, generally termed a rape.

Winfred is the most versatile of the brassicas, suitable for a wide range of soil fertility and environmental conditions, stock classes, and sowing times.

Winfred has good frost tolerance and better regrowth potential, retaining leaf and stem quality in frosty or cold conditions.

Once established, Winfred is also tolerant of dry conditions which makes this variety ideal for summer, autumn and winter feeding.

Winfred matures in 10-12 weeks and can be used as a stockpiled crop for winter grazing.
